  1. Get rid of some of the sensor, give me 32gbs of storage, and an 8in 2560×1600 screen-And there u got the Nexus 8, for $399, Please Google Make this Happen!!!

  2. If this what those lucky people at Google IO will be coming home with at the end of this month?

The Project Tango 7" tablet development kit is powered by the new NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor packed with 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, motion tracking camera, integrated depth sensing, WiFi, BTLE, and 4G LTE (availability will depend on region and carrier).

These development kits are designed for professional developers interested in exploring the future of mobile 3D sensing. They will receive updates as the software algorithms and APIs evolve. These development kits are not a consumer device and will be available in limited quantities.

  3. DO WANT
but i'm kinda scared for… you know, privacy. Sure, it helps people, but it reveals a lot about privacy that probably shouldn't be revealed. will you store any VISUAL data on your servers or only motion tracking/ depth data???

  5. REVENGE SERVED COLD   Proverbs 20:22
The world has it that ‘revenge is a dish best served cold’ {ode to Trekies}. Those who have served the dish to their enemies will tell you that there is an emptiness afterwards and robs you of the final justification and satisfaction. When we wait on the Lord however He saves us and deals out justice in such a way that we are glad.

  6. wew, tagra K1 is a beast chip slam into google dev tablet for, 3 camera and a sensor. Perhaps this for Virtual reality. That K1 kepler GPU can deliver the punch needed. Nvidia computational photography may included.(which sound so promising on Tegra 4)
*if Google Start out using the Denver version of Tegra K1, that leap forward for android OS, a start for 64bit android too !

  7. you want this but you don't really need it the first video of project tango explained what it was about and it wasn't a great reaction

  8. 100 bucks says it'll still suffer from lags & stutters, no matter how many roms you flash. I love android but it just can't beat that iOS smoothness.

  9. a depth camera can be used for mocap and AR.  AR as the device will have a 3D map to correctly mix renders with the camera data.

  10. that would be from the best tablets in this year if it'll be released in this year and I hope that all the devices that @Google ATAP  is working on it and building it like Nexus to be as fast as apple

  11. 4GB of RAM? If I bought this device, I think I would see myself trying to install SteamOS or Liinux on this device and playing DOTA 2.

  12. I mean i do know that is a prototype or just a device created for this particular project but still if they are capable of creating that much powerful devices why don't they bring these devices to the market, to be honest if google would make a device which would be carrying 4gb or 8gb ram and a graphics card powered with nVidia, i would order it without even looking at the price.

  13. can't they add the option to have the virtual buttons on the left or right side of the screen when in landscape mode?

  14. Can't believe for now it's limited to the USA only! If they all sell out does that mean non USA innovators will be excluded from access, or are their kits held back for us? Innovation does occur outside of the USA as well guys 🙁

  15. I just see this perfectly mixing with Google cardboard to render 3d meshing and transporting it to 3d modeling software and making amazing real life like maps and games. I want to get my hands on this now 😀 I'm a student and I've always wanted to try do something with developer kits to be on the front of innovation

  16. So, 5 yrs back, they launched a tab with 4Gigs of RAM. Still they are doing the same with pixel. Great Job!
